What is hunting?

Hunting is the practice of pursuing living animals (usually wildlife) for food, recreation, or trade. In present-day use, the term refers to lawful hunting, as distinguished from poaching, which is the killing, trapping or capture of the hunted species contrary to applicable law. Hunting used to be the only source of meat, for humans. Mostly males hunted to feed their families. As the world has developed, hunting for food has gone down, and hunting for sports and recreation has gone up. There are many benefits of hunting, including the massive contribution to the economy. There are also negative effects of hunting, including species extinction. One must think to themselves, is it really worth it?
